Ancient Peaks Winery is a Circle of relatives-owned, all-estate winery producing top of the range wines from the Santa Margarita Ranch Sub AVA of Paso Robles. Our 1,000 acre vineyard is location at the 14,000 acre Santa Margarita Ranch. Ancient Peaks is owned by three longtime local winegrowing and ranching families – the Filipponis, Rossis and Wittstroms. Two generations are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the vineyard and winery. Ancient Peaks wines are crafted under the guidance of Mike Sinor and winemaker, Stewart Cameron. Our practices have earned SIP (Sustainability In Practice) Certification for our Margarita Vineyard. Margarita Vineyard is one in all Paso Robles region’s coolest growing areas, and the surrounding peaks are continuously enshrouded in coastal fog – a vivid sign of the pronounced marine influence of the nearby Pacific Ocean.

Cold-soaked prior to fermentation for a gentle extraction of initial color and flavor. After fermentation and light pressing, then aged as much as 20 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels.
